Fruit and Vegetables:
A Guide to What's In Season in Gloucestershire

All our fresh fruit and vegetables are grown in Gloucestershire! The fruit and vegetables on sale at Gloucester Country Market, are all grown in Gloucestershire and are picked as close to Market day as possible so you can be sure that you will not find fresher unless you grow your own! (with the exception of stored items through the winter months).

Fruit and vegetables that have been grown locally, freshly picked and are "in season", taste so much better than those which have had to travel many miles, possibly from abroad.

Below is an idea of the produce that you will find at Gloucester Country Market month-by-month. All are subject to availability, according to what our Producers have decided to grow, the success of a particular crop and the weather! Our fresh produce is extremely popular, so you are advised to call in as early as possible on Market day for the best choice. We are happy to look after your Market purchases until 12.30pm if you don't want to carry them around all morning.
